Rebecca Aaron, Principal Consultant


With more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Rebecca Aaron established A Level Up, LLC to provide communications and organizational development consulting services to help organizations and leaders clarify and meet strategic objectives. Rebecca leads communications and organizational development initiatives for large school districts, private schools, education technology companies, nonprofits and elected officials. Through her consultative approach, Rebecca works with clients to define strategic goals, develop customized solutions, and build capacity.

Career highlights include 15 years in large public K-12 school districts as an executive overseeing communications and accountability functions, school-based and central office administrator, and educator; national strategic marketing for a leading education-technology brand; and a political appointment as the Education Director for the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships.

In her previous role as Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications at Discovery Education, a global company serving 4.5 million educators and 50 million students in 50 countries, she oversaw marketing and brand strategy and steered comprehensive, integrated marketing programs to drive aggressive sales and renewals. In this role, she led strategy for product positioning, multi-channel national and regional campaigns, thought leadership content and events, creative concepts, and sales enablement support across the customer lifecycle. She also managed high-profile partnerships, including the U.S. Congress and National Basketball Association.

Rebecca's areas of expertise include  strategic communications, strategic planning, K-12 pedagogical and operational leadership, organizational development and change management.
